Todays News

It has been a few days since I have wrote anything but I have been busy on some projects and getting everything ready to show you guys what all I have done. I know that you are jumping out of your skin with excitement. lol. I  will be posting them all in the next few days and come back and check them out.

I am also making some things for some giveaways to my followers. I know as of right now I have 1 follower( which I am very excited for) but I am hoping more of you will show some love and want to follow as well. I am thinking once I get to 25 followers I am going to do my first giveaway. Once we get closer to the number of followers I will post more on the giveaway.

Dont forget to check back to check out the projects I have been working on and hope you want to follow.

One Day of 127 Yard Sale

Hey Peeps! So every year I go on the 127 yard sale. If you have not heard of it then you are missing out and I'm shedding a tear for you. But luckily you have me to explain it to you. The 127 yard sale is a 675 mile yard sale on Highway 127 from Hudson, Michigan to Gadsden, Alabama and it lasts for 4 days.

So lets recap a few things so I know that you got it, 675 MILE YARD SALE going through 5 STATES and it goes on for 4 DAYS. Since I live in Kentucky, I usually just stay in my general area. We left the house at 7am and returned to the house sometime after 6pm. You can check out more on

This year the yard sale was here before I knew it and because we have been remodeling and with the water heater exploding the weekend before I was only able to go for one day. But I found some great things and only spent $12.

This is the sink that I bought for ONLY $5. I was looking for an old farm sink but I had no luck finding one and every other sink I found they wanted $20-$50 and they were the stainless ones. When I came across this one I thought to myself this one is going to outrageous because it is cast iron but when she sale does $5 sound good I could only say SOLD.

The Young Country Housewife

Hello Everyone!

I'm Marsha and my "better half" is Brandon:

We're the Bakers.

Brandon and I started dating in 2003 and got married in 2008.  We recently bought our first house.

We are in the process of fixing the house up and making it ours while still trying to stay sane and go on with life.

I wanted to start this blog cause I am a new and young housewife and I wanted to share my experiences and ideas with everyone and also be there for other housewives. I am a big DIY person, love scrapbooking, and I am big on cooking. I wanted to start this blog

So now it is time to introduce you to the other member of our family

Our first fur baby

She is part Australian Shepard part no idea. Her mom had her and the other pups in my husbands uncles barn. He was just going to get rid of them so we decided to take her off his hands. She is a hand full and get on my nerves some times but I love her so much.
